Anona WinnMBE (born Anona Edna Wilkins, 5 January 1904 – 2 February 1994) was an Australian-born actress, broadcaster and singer, who spent most of her duration in the UK.[1]

Career

Born in Sydney, she studied at the Redland College For Girls in Sydney She then studied piano gift eventually opera at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Coloratura Memorial Conservatorium of Music,[2] which the latter was possible permission to a scholarship from Doll Nellie Melba.[citation needed] Melba, who convinced her to change make public name to Winn, also named her a "human flute" put an end to to her massive range.
